Residential Wiring
(ResWiring)

Numerous job opportunities are and will be available for qualified electricians in the future. Work typically involves the installation, connection, testing and maintenance of electrical systems for both residential and commercial industries. Electricians must be familiar with and comply with various local, state and national codes. This course will help students develop skills that prepare them for an apprenticeship, further training or entry-level employment. The course has also been approved by the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) and provides students with the opportunity to complete basic apprenticeship modules.  Currently there are four electrical unions that pay $30+ an hour for workers who have earned Journeymen credentials. Furthermore, the starting pay for an apprentice is typically $13-22 an hour.
